Group Annual Review

Date: 8th May 2026 Author: Mark Eastman

A Night of Celebration & Progress!

It was wonderful to see the whole group come together on Wednesday for our Annual Review. It was a night filled with pride, inspiration, and a lot of Scouting spirit!

Formal Business

We started the evening by completing a brief Annual General Meeting (AGM). We successfully approved the annual papers and accounts, and we are pleased to announce the election of our Trustees and Officers for the coming year. Thank you to everyone who stepped up to help lead our group behind the scenes!

Honouring Dedication

Our District Lead, Ollie, then joined us to recognize the incredible volunteers who keep our group moving. A huge congratulations to:
Alan Seymour – 5 Year Service Award
Mary Scott – An incredible 40 Years of Service!
Mary, thank you for your lifelong commitment to Scouting; you are a true inspiration to us all.

Youth in Action

Our younger sections brought the energy with some brilliant entertainment from the Squirrels and Beavers. Following them, our Explorers took us on a journey through their recent Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Expedition—proving that adventure is alive and well!

Aiming High

We were also treated to an inside look at Charlotte’s journey toward her King’s Scout Award. Her hard work and determination represent the very best of what our young people can achieve, and we hope her story inspires the whole group to reach for the top.

Closing Words

To wrap up a great night, our County Lead Volunteer, Joe, shared some truly inspiring words about the impact of Scouting in our community.
