🎩 London Monopoly Run: Mission Accomplished! ⚜️

Date: 13th Apr 2026 Author: Mark Eastman
What an incredible Saturday! Five of our teams—3 Explorer Scout and 2 Active Support—hit the streets of London for a massive, live-action game of Monopoly.
We joined thousands of other Scouts, Network, and adult members from across the country to race against the clock. The game board spanned the entire city, from London Zoo in the North down to Chelsea in the South, and Earls Court in the West over to Canary Wharf in the East.

With a maximum 45 locations to find and 8 “Chance Cards” to navigate, our teams put in a stellar performance using only public transport and their own two feet:
• A massive shoutout to Explorer team of Paul, Ben, Emma, and Robert, who finished an impressive 14th out of 250 Explorer teams!
• Our top adult team held their own against the competition, placing 27th out of 75 Adult teams.

By the Numbers
• 9 Hours of non-stop strategy and travel.
• Up to 36 Locations reached by our most efficient teams.
• 35,000+ Steps taken per person—our legs were definitely feeling it by the end!
• A Sea of Scouts: Everywhere you looked in London, there was a scout scarf in sight.
A huge thank you to the organizing team for putting together such a high-energy event. We had a blast sightseeing and representing the group. We’re already looking forward to next year’s fun!
