Squirrels Summer Sleepover Fun!

What an incredible adventure we had on our summer sleepover! We caught the train to Horsham Park – for some of our Squirrels, it was their very first train ride! Once we arrived, we set up our base and jumped into a day full of fun: from colouring and tree climbing to a scavenger hunt, parachute games, exploring the peace gardens, and enjoying a delicious picnic with ice lollies to cool us down.
Back at the hut, the evening was just as magical with a tasty BBQ, singing songs around the campfire, and settling down to watch a movie together. Following the movie the squirrels settled in their tents for the night and mostly straight to sleep.
Lots of the young people were up at 5.30, they played Lego and coloured until the actual morning time.
We had breakfast in the garden, played a few team games had a story before heading home.
We hope all the Squirrels had as much fun as we did – the leaders enjoyed it so much that we’re already planning the winter sleepover!
