Lion Cub Scouts Winter Camp
This weekend Lion Cub Scouts went to Bentley Copse for the annual Winter Camp.
After a movie night (with hotdogs and nachos) the cub scouts woke up to a full day of fun. A site quiz, to find different items around the campsite was followed by the bucket challenge. Everything was attempted from making a play, to scoring a goal, from counting the trees to swapping shoes. We always found time to break for cake, and the cubs had great time making owls from fir cones.
After lunch on Saturday, the pack split into two groups, half were abseiling with James, little daredevils! and half had our first nerf War before swopping over.
We played Nuskias game, and then allowed the cubs some free time to make a shelter, relax, draw or play games.
After dinner we played some more circle games before our camp quiz night. Music rounds, picture rounds, Charades and guessing games to tire everyone out ready for bed.
The cubs were all woken up on Sunday ready to pack away and tidy the hut. But we still had time for the cubs to bounce for Aeroball and play hide and seek in the dark in the caving maze.
After another delicious lunch we went through our favourite things before all the cubs went home.
Thank to all the cubs that really did do their best.
Thank you to all the parents for bringing them, and for the amazing cakes you baked for us all to share.
Thank you to James and the abseiling team from Worthing.
Thank you to the leaders, to Nuskia for being chef, for Dahinda for running activities, to Hawkeye for the crafts, to Keego, for the support and help you gave everyone and to Chil for your enthusiasm, heart and caring.
Bring on Summer camp!!!
