Explorer Scouts Review Meeting – September 2024

Date: 27th Sep 2024 Author: Mark Eastman
Last night’s Explorer meeting was looking at both the past and the future. The meeting started with three groups talking about their Sweden experience in the summer accompanied with a video of the trip (the video will be published soon). This was followed by the introduction of the expedition plans for next year where they plan to go to Staffordshire and WSIJ25, the local jamboree.
The next phase of the meeting was two Duke of Edinburgh expedition report backs, one silver and one Gold in the New Forest concluding with the lip syncing video created by the Gold team whilst on their hike.
Concluding the evening was a chance to recognise the young people’s achievements with a Chief Scout Platinum for Ben and Chief Scout Diamond for Charlie, along with many other badges being awarded. 7 new Explorer Scouts made their promise as part of their investiture and joined the unit.
