Water Camp – July 2024

At the weekend the group held it annual Water Camp on the River Arun.
We left Stopham bridge on Friday evening to paddle into the campsite. As always the novices being paired with Explorer Scouts in the Canoes. Having set up our Greenfield camp we relaxed ready for a busy weekend.
Saturday and Sunday was spent on the river in Canoe, Kayaks and Paddleboards. Saturday evening we played the annual volleyball game.
Sunday afternoon, having packed camp away, we then paddled back to Stopham Bridge, this time, following their development over the weekend, the novices were able to paddle kayaks back.
A great weekend of developing their skills while also have fun.
