This year we have again produced on our social media channels our photo advent calendar with a range of photos to show a small snippet of activities the Group has been up to in 2021.
Advent Calendar #1 – The Cubs spent an evening with Ifield Cricket Club experiencing all aspects of cricket; batting, bowling, fielding, etc Advent calendar #2: Today we go back to the Explorer Scout summer Expedition to Devon and their day trip cycling Advent Calendar #3: This summer all our Beavers had the chance to camp, for most of them this was the first experience of scout camping without their families. They all went for a hike around Buchan Country Park as part of the camp. Advent calendar #4: The summer saw the return of our Friday shooting sessions staring with some tester sessions with our more experienced shooters. Advent Calendar #5: Not sure if the Cub Scouts enjoyed the tunnelling or getting muddy best, but they defiantly had fun. Advent Calendar #6: This autumn the Group held a two-day first aid course for our activity leaders who take our young people on adventurous activities. Advent Calendar #7: The Group spent the summer paddling with weekend river trips, this was the last one of the season with the young people leading themselves on the Wey & Arun Canal. Advent Calendar #8: Both our Beavers and Cubs worked on their faith badges this year. The Cubs visited Broadfield Mosque and the Beavers had a Q&A sessions with Revd Christine at St Margert’s Church Advent calendar #9: This year both Cub Scout packs were given the opportunity on the Group’s climbing wall, a great chance to challenge themselves Advent Calendar #10: The Scouts spent the whole summer out of the HQ, here we catch some of them out hiking around Ifield.
