Explorer Scouts Winter Camp – Broadstone Warren

Over the weekend of 10 – 12 January saw the Explorer Unit away for their annual chill out camp.

Having arrived on Friday evening, the Explorers chilled out at Broadstone Warren enjoying their company. Saturday morning after a nice full english breakfast the Explorers spent some time on the low ropes at Broadstone, having tried to run the course as planned they then created their own games on the equipment.

Saturday afternoon the Explorers were locked out of the bunkhouse, and went for a hike into Forest Row, where they found a chance to spend their money to get some treats. afterwards before leaving to return they found the playground in the town. and spent time on the swings and zip wire.

On returning to the bunkhouse the Explorers took over the kitchen and cooked the roast dinner with the full works, the leaders were banned from the kitchen that evening! Everyone was fed well with a great roast beef and the extras.

Sunday was a really chilled out morning, with the explorers out exploring the bounderies of the campsite. After lunch it was time to clear up the building before everyone headed home ready for the start of another week.
