On Satruday 20th July, as part of our Paddlesport provision a group of Scouts, Explorers and SASU travelled to Tonbridge in Kent to paddle the River Medway. A great canoe friendly river with facilities along the river including a number of canoe shoots.
The group headed off in sunshine, which was a pleaseant suprise, as we thinking the night before having seen the forecast that we may not be able to go due to lightning.
From start to finish on the river we were paddling with other groups of paddlers, incluing two other groups of Scouts out for a day on the river.
A great day was had on a great river.
Many thanks to our three drivers who gave up their day to get us all there and pick us up at the end. The trip would not be possible without these volunteers.
